Restaurants and Dining
Indianapolis has a wide variety of restaurants which should satisfy
most of your culinary tastes, and many of these establishments
are located in the downtown area. If you are headed to the Circle
Centre Shopping Mall there would be several excellent places to
stop and sample the fare. Palomino's, the California Cafe, the
Alcatraz MicroBrewery and the Rock Bottom Brewery all offer excellent
food and service. (For a more complete list of Indianapolis restaurants
please refer to Indy.org
or Indy.com.)
Establishments nearer to the IBMT
Program at St. Francis Hospital - Beech Grove are the Napoli
Villa Italian, Chan's Restaurant, Mary's Morninglory Cafe, Sun
Shine Cafe, Egg Roll #1 and Fujiyama Steak House of Japan.

Museums and the Performing Arts
Indianapolis is privileged to have several excellent museums and
galleries present in the city, as well as some standout artists
in the performing arts. For persons who have a wide range of artistic
taste we would suggest a tour of The
Indianapolis Museum of Art, located in the northwest section
of the city. For those persons who enjoy a uniquely American art
form there is The
Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art. Next
to the Eiteljorg is the IMAX®
3D Theatre where 2D and 3D films are always entertaining.
And for those with children - or for those who are simply young
at heart - there is the The
Children's Museum of Indianapolis, which not only is one of
the premier organizations of its kind in the country, but which
also has The SpaceQuest® Planetarium and the CineDome. If
you're interested in the performing arts we suggest you spend
some time enjoying the sounds of The
Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. And if you really need to
escape the city environment you can make a quick trip to The
Indianapolis Zoo.

Sports
While Indianapolis is the Amateur Sports Capital of the World,
we also can boast of a variety of professional sports teams. Of
course, basketball is "Indiana's Game", so it seems only
natural that the NBA's Indiana
Pacers would call Indianapolis home. But since 1984 Indianapolis
has also been home to the NFL's Indianapolis
Colts, bringing football fever to the city during the fall.
No city would be complete without a professional baseball organization,
and in our case this would be the Indianapolis
Indians. And finally, Indianapolis is host to the largest
single one day sporting event in the world. By that, of course,
we mean the Indianapolis
500, where attendance at the famous Memorial Day Race is estimated
between 350,000 and 400,000 persons.
